    [advanced_iframe src="https://tidycal.com/hajocampfiremarketing/strategiegespraech-webinar-45min-wi?email={EMAIL}&name={FIRSTNAME}" width=”100%” height="70vh" transparency="true" use_shortcode_attributes_only=”true” scrolling="auto"]

This shortcode please add in the CTA content (Visuell).

Details: How to Prefill Name, Email, and Custom Fields in TidyCal Booking Links

We will add last name parameter in a future version. Please give us a hint if you urgently need it or need more parameters from the registration fields.

Prefilling Name and Email in TidyCal via URL Parameters

TidyCal allows you to prefill the name and email fields in booking forms using URL parameters. Here’s how you can do it:

    1. Basic Syntax

Add the parameters to your booking link like this:

    https://tidycal.com/[USERNAME]/[BOOKING-TYPE]?name=Full%20Name&email=example%40domain.com

    Example:

    https://tidycal.com/monika-schubert/erstgespraech?name=Max%20Mustermann&email=max.mustermann%40example.com

    2. Parameter Details

    Parameter
    Description
    Encoding Required
    name
    Full name
    Spaces as %20
    email
    Valid email
    @ as %40

    3. Quick JavaScript Example

If you want to generate the link dynamically:

    const encodedName = encodeURIComponent("Max Mustermann");
    const encodedEmail = encodeURIComponent("[email protected]");
    const tidycalUrl = `https://tidycal.com/monika-schubert/erstgespraech?name=${encodedName}&email=${encodedEmail}`;

    4. Notes and Limitations

    • Visible Fields: Prefilled data is visible to the user on the booking form.
    • Supported Browsers: All modern browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari).
    • URL Length: The URL should not exceed 2,083 characters.

What About First Name and Last Name?

    Short answer:
TidyCal does not currently support separate URL parameters for “first name” or “last name.” The standard parameter is name, which is intended for the full name only.

    If you use:

    https://tidycal.com/monika-schubert/erstgespraech?first_name=Max&last_name=Mustermann

TidyCal will not recognize or prefill these fields; only name works.

Workarounds for Separate First and Last Name

    1. Combine first and last name in the name parameter:
    https://tidycal.com/monika-schubert/erstgespraech?name=Max%20Mustermann
    1. Custom Fields: If you need to collect first and last names separately, add custom questions to your TidyCal booking form (e.g., “First Name” and “Last Name”).
      • These custom fields can be prefilled using a1, a2, etc., if TidyCal supports prefill for custom questions (check your form’s settings).
      • Example (if “First Name” is the first custom field, “Last Name” is the second):
    https://tidycal.com/monika-schubert/erstgespraech?a1=Max&a2=Mustermann
    - **Note:** This only works if TidyCal’s custom fields are set up in the correct order and support URL prefill for custom questions.

    Summary Table

    Field
    URL Parameter
    Example Value
    Supported?
    Full Name
    name
    Max%20Mustermann
    ✅
    First Name
    first_name
    Max
    ❌
    Last Name
    last_name
    Mustermann
    ❌
    Custom Field 1
    a1
    Max
    ✅*
    Custom Field 2
    a2
    Mustermann
    ✅*

*If your TidyCal form uses custom fields and supports prefill for them.

    5. Advanced: Additional Fields

For extra fields (like phone), use indexed parameters if your TidyCal form supports them:

    https://tidycal.com/monika-schubert/erstgespraech?name=Max%20Mustermann&email=max%40example.com&a1=017612345678

Note: The order of the custom fields in TidyCal must match the parameter index (a1, a2, etc.).

    6. Security and Privacy

    • Use HTTPS: Always use secure links in production.
    • GDPR Compliance: Only prefill personal data if you have the user’s explicit consent.

    7. Testing

    1. Create a test URL with sample data.
    2. Open it in a private/incognito browser window.
    3. Check if the fields are correctly prefilled.

That’s it! You can now use these links in emails, buttons, or embed them on your website to streamline the booking process with TidyCal. If you need help configuring custom questions in TidyCal, let me know!

URL parameter integration for Calendly forms using the example of https://calendly.com/monika-schubert/erstgespraechThe technical implementation of URL parameters for pre-filling Calendly form fields requires a precise understanding of the platform architecture and applicable data protection guidelines. This document analyzes the concrete possibilities for parameter transfer for the specific Calendly link, taking into account current API functions and user restrictions.

According to the documentation, Calendly enables the pre-filling of the following core fields:

    Full name: name=Max%20Mustermann

    E-mail address: [email protected]

Phone number: a1=+491234567890 (with appropriate field configuration)

User-defined answers: a2=answer text (index-based according to form position)

    Teilnehmeridentifikation in Mentimeter

    Alternative Identifikationsметоды

  • Seperate site, WP installation for WebinarIgnition (WI)?!

Seperate site, WP installation for WebinarIgnition (WI)?!

Should I use a separate WordPress installation for WebinarIgnition (WI)?

No, it’s best to use WebinarIgnition on your main site. Here’s why:

    • Plugins like WooCommerce won’t connect with WebinarIgnition if they’re on different sites. For example, customer name and email from WooCommerce sales or appointment forms won’t transfer automatically.
    • Shortcodes from other plugins only work on the site where they are installed. If you want to use a plugin’s features in your webinar, you’d need to install and license it again on the second site.
    • Managing two sites means more work and more plugin licenses.
    • If a plugin causes issues, it’s better to improve it or use a different one. A well-optimized main site can run many plugins and still be fast.

If you have ideas on how we can improve WebinarIgnition, please let us know in the comments!
